So while the tiling, flooring, first painting coats and final electrics are continuing at Short St, it’s time to turn our attention to furnishing these divine new spaces.
Yes, Christine and I have spent countless hours and Pinterest pins selecting – perhaps, fantasising – on the furniture and furnishings. Some of our choices are certainly more aspirational than practical and, let’s face it, affordable.
Now that it’s crunch time, we need to make choices and start ordering. While I try and buy local as much as I like, I refuse to feel guilty for heading to Melbourne for the wider choice available. Let’s face it – here in Adelaide, there’s local designers or there’s the chain store but not a lot in between.
